Football!

With the national football leagues on holidays, it's tough. At least we have the Confederations Cup in South Africa. Last Saturday, I took the opportunity and went to see the game Spain-South Africa in Bloemfontein!

According to Lonely Planet, it's a university town with plenty of night life, parties, etc. Maybe we missed it in the dark but that place looked dead to me. No wonder Tolkien left Bloemfontein when he was still a child.

The great thing about South Africa is that even in a place like this, there's something to see. In Europe, when you go to your local park you basically see people and ducks. Here, you see this (have a good look, I had to use my mobile phone camera):

Apart from giraffes, we bumped into Impalas, Wildebeests, Springbocks and an Ostrich... Not bad for just an hour.
